Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario 45 minute drive to the Smiths Falls Canadian Northern Railway station which the museum is housed in, was the last major station built by the CNR on its Toronto to Ottawa line. The Line was completed in 1913 and the station was officially opened in 1914. The route from Ottawa serviced Smiths Falls, Portland, Chaffeys Locks (on the Rideau Canal) Sydenham, Harrowsmith and Napanee and beyond to Toronto The museum has over 10,000 items in its collection
