Your Hosts Diana and Victor

Getaway Adventures

Do you want your holiday to be relaxed, yet full of interesting things to see and do? Do you want your holiday arranged (be it 2, 3, 4, or 5 .. days in length), but don’t have the time, or the know how to do it well?

We can package you a personal holiday adventure!

Who better to help you arrange your visit to the 1000 Islands Region than your ‘local’ inn keepers, Diana and Victor? Let us be your personal concierge service. Anything we recommend, we have enjoyed ourselves.

Come solo, duo, or with friends and relatives. We will customize a holiday at Island View just for you.

Diana loves to ‘direct’ adventures. Chat with Diana about your interests. She will surprise you with her suggestions for fun and adventure.

Bring your friends in Friday night, and have a little reunion with them in Island View’s airy, yet cozy living room. Saturday morning, have juice and coffee on the hillside porch overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River. Diana will call you in for a leisurely breakfast.

Breakfast at Island View B& B

Morning Coffee on the Porch in the Sunshine

Take time for yourselves to explore the River, Nature Trails, (Kayaking, Restaurants, Boat Tours, Fishing, Farm Gate Tours, Shopping, Antiquing, Museums, Golf…) or whatever the 1000 Islands calls you to do.

Diana can prepare your evening meal if you wish, or book you into one of the many good restaurants in the area. Stay up late, talk, hoot or holler. Sunday morning breakfast comes later, after a sit in the sun on the porch. Once the stragglers gather themselves up, an easy breakfast will be spread out. No need to go home yet. Go for a walk under the towering cliffs that curl over the Jones Creek side trail right out Island View’s front door. Head up to Charleston Lake for a relaxing visit with Bear, and a woodland lunch with him around a campfire.

Romance and Honeymoons

Victor and Diana have been married six years, and are still on their honeymoon!

We just love it when lovers come to spend time together.  The Leisure room is the most spacious, relaxing cocoon for you. It has a large bedroom with queen bed, a glamorous bathroom with huge tub, and a cushy sitting room in which to kick back, and watch the 52 inch screen TV.

Islandview's romantic features and natural setting are a catalyst for love. Honeymooners and lovers have time to rest and be alone together.

If a proposal is in the air, Diana will pull strings to ensure the perfect privacy, the perfect romantic dinner, and the perfect spot to pop the question.

Weddings

Diana welcomes both you and your friends coming to this area as wedding guests. She would be willing to act as host for special wedding events, and photos in her impressive gardens. Every angle in the garden at Island View is a photo opportunity. Use Island View is a friendly ‘home base’.

"Flushing Meadows" in June

Charlotte and Barbara came in as grannies coming to a family wedding. They came from different sides, but became close friends. We treated them like our own, and looked after them in their spare time. They were a pleasure to be with.

Charlotte thanks us: "For sharing your beautiful home, gardens, and adorable “children” Emma and Potter, and making me feel so welcome and at home; the first cup of coffee in the morning on the veranda with the birds; the delicious breakfasts; the personally guided tour of Brockville; coupons for the Island cruise; the ‘trip to India’; browsing through the pottery studio; and that spectacular view over the river! Just to name a few of the highlights".

Wellness, Respite and Retreat

Do you need a place to stay and be cared for a short period of time, but want a homey environment and caring friends around you? Relax at Island View B&B, and heal. Diana will look after you.

In order to help you with diet and nutrition issues, I am happy to prepare you the foods you need to be comfortable and confident during your (much needed) holiday.

I have learned a great deal about various diets. We are all familiar with vegetarian, low fat, and low sugar diets. Alkaline diet, Nightshade free diet, Gluten free diet, Specific Carbohydrate diet, and the Candia diet have become familiar territory for me. I enjoy using my creativity to find ways to please the palate.

Private Boat Tour on the St Lawrence

Dave Williams recently retired from his Marina business in Ivy Lea. Dave is an old river rat. His father and grandfather were caretakers on a large island estate in the 1000 Islands. Growing up on the island, Dave knows every nook, cranny and story about our river. Dave Williams will take you out in his personal boat right into the heart of the islands for a tour. Bring a picnic lunch and he will stop at one of Canada's National Park Islands. Dave knows the area like the back of his hand. This is a great opportunity for photographers, birders, and anyone who wants to spend quality time in the islands without the hassle of being on a large tour boat - this is a great opportunity. The boat holds 8 persons and guided tours are $120.00 per 1 1/2 hour and $240.00 for 3 hours.

Wouldn't that make a great party?
